LaSalle University Makes Room for Penn State Extension Nutrition Links
Posted: January 17, 2012
With the majority of desks, phones and supplies in storage until spring of 2012, the Penn State Extension Nutrition Links team soon realized they would be working out of their homes, losing the structure and familiarity of a daily office routine. Some creative strategizing was in order.
Penn State Extension Educator and Nutrition Links Supervisor, Suzanne Weltman sought partners willing to share office space, copy machine and Internet access on a limited basis. Suzanne reached out to LaSalle University, the source of Penn State Extension undergraduate student dietetic interns for more than ten years.
Mission accomplished! LaSalle University Nutrition Program Director Jule Anne Henstenburg, M.S., C.S.P., R.D., L.D.N., generously offered to host the Nutrition Links staff in LaSalle’s Nutrition Program shared adjunct’s office.
LaSalle’s Nutrition Program faculty and staff have warmly welcomed Penn State Extension Nutrition Links into their university home, eager to discuss future projects for students in the didactic and coordinated programs in dietetics.
