J. Craig Williams awarded the Distinguished Service Award at the 2012 National Association of County Agricultural Agents' annual meeting.

J. Craig Williams was recognized at the National Association of County Agricultural Agents' annual meeting this past July for his efforts with Penn State Cooperative Extension.

The purpose of the Distinguished Service Award Program is to encourage and recognize excellence in the field of professional Extension for members with more than ten years of service.

Twenty-one years in Extension, Tioga County, J. Craig has enjoyed many extension programs and farm visits.  His major programs include: dairy milers’ schools, pasture –MIG walks, dairy risk, and crop pesticide programs.  He has developed multi-state mortality composting projects and was PI/Co-PI several PA composting grants.  He’s a past PACAA president and attended 11 AM/PIC’s, served on Awards and Recognition & 4-H Youth committees, and took great enjoyment in chairing the Paul Craig Presidential campaign.
