4-H Partners with Weed and Seed
Posted: September 30, 2011
The Northampton County 4-H Program spent three evenings this past summer with the Easton Weed and Seed program at their Summer Nights in the Park program at 12th and Ferry Streets in Easton. Workshop participants took part in three agriculturally based sessions over the course of the evenings. On the first night, youth participated in a 4-H Meet the Plants workshop that taught them basic plant structure and how plants make food. The second night, youth got a hands on experience making ice cream in a bag from the 4-H Acres of Adventure curriculum. At the last evening, the 4-H Livestock Club brought chickens, goats, and sheep and taught participants facts about their farm animals.
