Penn State Information
Officially called the Penn State Deer Research Center, the facility is located in a 22-acre fenced enclosure northeast of campus off of Big Hollow Road.
The center is nestled in the ridge-and-valley area of central Pennsylvania, between State College and Huntingdon, in the Stone Valley Recreation Area of the Penn State Experimental Forest, which sits on 7,000 acres and contains the 72-acre Lake Perez.
The major in Wildlife and Fisheries Science provides an integrated program of study for students interested primarily in conservation and management of wildlife and fish species and their environments.
