The loads of sediment, nutrients, and organic matter from the land surface to these estuaries, which are strongly influenced by climate variability, have been—and are expected to be—the main drivers of of water quality in these estuaries. In this talk, a synthesis is presented of the output of several hydrological and terrestrial biogeochemical models in order to determine the likely range in projected changes in these loads during the 21st century.
