Understand and Protect Your Water Supply and Treatment Systems Wells, springs, and cisterns supply water to over 25,000 homes in Dauphin County. Many residents use on-lot septic systems to treat and dispose of wastewater. This workshop will provide information on protecting, testing, and treating private water supplies. We will discuss septic system inspection and maintenance. We’ll also provide tips to protect home heating oil tanks.

Free Drinking Water Testing

Free drinking water testing will be provided for up to 30 households. Results from simple tests can help guide you in future testing by accredited labs. Support provided by the Master Well Owner Network grant from the PA DEP and PGWA.

This workshop is free, but registration is required. If you are having difficulty registering online, call our office at 717-921-8803.

This workshop is presented by Penn State Extension with the partnership support of Capital Region Water and the Clarks Creek Watershed Preservation Association.
