A Variety of Marcellus Programming Offered this Week

The Penn State Extension Marcellus Education Team is offering programs across the state this week to help the public learn more about a variety of topics.
Monday, October 10th - “Financial Considerations Relating to Marcellus Development in Pennsylvania” will be held in Dubois. This program will provide an overview of Marcellus development and expose the audience to financial, tax and legal issues to consider. Speakers include Extension, CPA, legal and financial management experts who will discuss Marcellus market economics, financial and tax arrangements to optimize retained income, and estate and investment planning. The program starts at 7 PM in Hiller Auditorium, Penn State Dubois campus.
Tuesday, October 11th - Your Business and Marcellus Shale Webinar Series: Moving Forward 2011 "Local Business View: Experience in the Southwest" will be available to all who are interested in hearing how business owners and entrepreneurs were able to become involved and take advantage of opportunities in the natural gas development. Connect to hear Lisa Johnson with Sunnyside Supply and Margie Wilderoter with Superior Energy discuss how their companies grew. It is not necessary to have viewed the prior webinars to take part in this session. The webinar will be held from 9:00 to 10:15 AM. Thursday, October 13th – “Marcellus Shale - Understanding Natural Gas Development Issues” will discuss pipeline and infrastructure issues. An overview of the process, safety issues and legal issues will be covered. The program will be held at the Lock Haven University, East Campus at 7 PM.
