Financial Programs Offered Across the State to Help Landowners Plan
Posted: September 27, 2011
As Marcellus shale wells continue to be drilled across the state, landowners are receiving royalty checks. What are some of the concerns or financial planning should people who find themselves with a windfall consider? Penn State Extension is holding financial programs in many counties to help landowners understand the options available to them in various circumstances.
Attendees to these programs will have a better understanding of the Marcellus market economics. Legal, financial and accounting experts will discuss financial and tax arrangements to optimize retained income, estate and investment planning, and wealth management.
Programs will be held across the state over the next few months in the following towns:
Lock Haven, Clinton County - September 28th
Washington, Washington County - September 28th
Dubois, Clearfield County - October 10th
Cranberry Township, Butler County - October 19th
Abington, Montgomery County - October 24th
Center Valley, Lehigh County - October 25th
