This workshop series, organized by Penn State Extension, covers a variety of Renewable and Alternative Energy topics.

Overview

Penn State Extension's Renewable Energy Academy is a series of three hour programs that cover topics on renewable and alternative energy technology. Participants learn about the opportunities to curtail the use of traditional fossil fuels by utilizing technologies such as solar, wind, geothermal, small scale hydro, bio-mass and bio-gas. Installation, operation, regulatory, system economics of various technologies are explored.

Renewable Energy Academy 2015

2015's Renewable Energy Academy was structured to consist of three multi-day workshops sponsored by the Northeast SARE Grant funded Farm Energy IQ program.  These events included sessions on renewable energy production, farm energy efficiency, and smart energy buying and use.  For details on the program, visit http://articles.extension.org/pages/72595/northeast-farm-energy-iq-curriculum

Renewable Energy Academy 2014

In 2014, Penn State Extension's Renewable Energy Academy held two Farm Energy Day Workshops, focusing on farm energy topics of interest to different regions of the state.
