Are You Ready For the Master Gardener Plant Sale?
Posted: March 14, 2012
There is nothing better than fresh vegetables, picked moments before you eat them! Or how about a fresh bouquet of flowers for your dining room table? Are you one of those people who loves to grow your own vegetables and flowers and you’d really like to have them sooner rather than later?
In addition to planting seeds, why not start your garden with seedlings of many of your favorite vegetables and flowers?
The vegetable section at the 14h Annual Montgomery County Master Gardener Plant Sale has expanded its vegetable offerings from the traditional peppers and tomatoes (and there will be many of those) to include many new favorites. Master Gardener Volunteers have started seedlings for many common and not so common vegetables. Along with old favorites, why not try something new this year?
Possibly you are looking for that new perennial to fill a drab space? Our perennials section offers plants for both sun and shade. Or maybe you want that plant you remember your grandmother tending so devotedly but you can't remember its name? Our Master Gardeners can help you make selections to suit your needs and answer questions on plant care.
We have fresh herbs for cooking or a scented section of your garden. Affordable trees and shrubs are here also with Master Gardeners available to answer growing and planting questions.
The Plant Sale is May 19th, starting at 9:00AM until 2:00PM and is held on the grounds of the 4-HCenter. The Plant Sale takes place rain or shine!
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
Come on out and see what the Master Gardeners have for you! We promise you won't go home empty handed!
