A team of Penn State Extension educators lead the Start Farming program in collaboration with The Seed Farm, the Lehigh County Agricultural Business Incubator; and Pennsylvania Farm Link, a program of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
Start Farming launched in 2009 in response to in- creased interest in farm start-up from community members. The program’s goal is to enhance the success of beginning farmers by providing information and hands-on training in production, marketing, financial management, as well as land and other resource acquisition.
