Pesticide Update Meeting

There are many farmers and others who need to have a private applicators license in order to purchase and apply restricted pesticides to their land.  These licenses are renewed only with the credit of continuing education points during the time of the licesnsing period. 

Penn State Extension will be offering this training class before the annual renewal date of April 1st.  It is intended to familiarize you with any changes in regulations that might be taking place and to update you on the products available to use on your various crops.  Of course, safe handling practices should be reviewed on a regular basis as well as liability concerns that are present anytime someone is handling a hazardous material.

Receive 2 core credits + 2 category specific credits.  Penn State Educators will be covering topics relating to insect damange to fruit, vegetable, and field crops and what was learned from diseases in field crops last year.  Pesticide labeling and what's new at the PA Dept of Agriculture will also be covered.
