TAP Food Safety Certification e-Learning Program

Penn State Extension, 724 Phillips St., Suite 201, Stroudsburg PA 18360TAP Series Food Safety Training is an on-line food certification course. Program provides a self-paced learning experience from home or work and a practice exam to prepare the learner for the certification examination. Once begun, the learner has 6 months to complete the training program. Exams are given at the Monroe County Extension office. The program is available in English or Spanish and a CD-Rom is available if you do not have high-speed internet access but an internet connection is required.
Topics covered are: The Need for Food Safety Training; Foodborne Illness; Hygiene, Health & Food Safety; Flow of Food: Purchasing, Receiving, Storing, Preparing, Cooking and Serving; Environment: Equipment, Cleaning, Sanitizing, Pest Control & Facilities; The HACCP System.
