Penn State Cooperative Extension offers a two-hour mandatory class in local communities around the state to assist residents in filing for debt relief under the Bankruptcy Abuse Protection and Consumer Protection Act. The personal financial-management class, Four Steps to a Secure Financial Future, is designed to teach those emerging from bankruptcy how to handle their finances and avoid future problems.
