SPRING BUS TRIP - Temple University Ambler and Meadowbrook Farm
Do you have a garden or lawn question you can’t find the answer to or a bug you can’t identify? A Master Gardener will be at the Extension office in Milford to assist you with your questions, and best of all it’s free!
This workshop will help homeowners and forest landowners identify invasive plants and insects and develop strategies for controlling and removing them from their property. Participants will learn if mechanical removal will work or if herbicidal applications are required to control the invasives.

The tools you choose shape your experience and the quality of your garden. Join Master Gardener Loretta DeMarco as she helps you learn what tools you need, what other tools you may want, and how to choose the best tools for your and your garden.
Young and old alike are invited to learn all about frogs at the Muddy Paws Marsh Frog Festival. Learn about their songs, their life cycle, and their habitat, and join in the frog-related games and activities.

Penn State Master Gardeners are offering a Summer Garden Camp for youth ages 8 to 11 or in grades 3 to 5 at the Penn State Extension office on Allen Road in Carlisle. There will be five sessions of growing, learning, hands-on fun on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the following dates: June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24, and August 7, 2012.
National Pollinator Week is June 18 to 24, 2012. To mark the occasion, join Penn State Master Gardeners in Cumberland County for a Pollinator Celebration Program and Butterfly Container Workshop on Saturday, June 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cumberland County Extension office, 310 Allen Road, Carlisle.
Come and visit the gardens at the Ag Center in Gettysburg and learn about the purpose of each garden and the plants in that plot.
The Master Gardener State Conference Committee has been working hard to plan a great Master Gardener Conference for June 22-23, 2012 at University Park.
The Penn State Master Gardener State Conference is designed for the Master Gardener. The conference will provide Master Gardeners with a chance to socialize with each other in a learning environment. Hosting the conference at the University Park Campus gives access to top researchers and learning opportunities. Top instructors have been selected to provide the Master Gardener with advanced horticulture training. Time is set aside to recognize county programs through our Search for Excellence Awards and to socialize with each other. Come join us for a time to share, learn, and socialize among your fellow Master Gardeners from across the state!
