Attend The Precision Dairy Technology Forum On Activity and Rumination Sensors

Posted: January 30, 2015

With increasing competition and shrinking margins, producers need maximum efficiency on their dairies. New precision technology can help save labor costs, improve animal performance, and provide added opportunities for herd management.

At this forum, dairy farm owners, herdsmen, and related industry personnel will learn the positives and negatives associated with various precision technologies and be better able to make an informed decision regarding the role of the technology on their dairy. The meeting will be held on February 17, 2015, 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM at 3909 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg PA.

The forum will include a Producer Panel discussing Using Activity and Rumination Monitors on the Farm. Dr Kevin Harvatine will discuss Using Rumination to Manage Cows. The event will also feature a tour of Burk Lea Farms. You can register online at or call 888-373-7232 (toll free). Thanks to our program partners SCR Dairy and Semex, registration is free and lunch will be provided.
