Dining with Diabetes to hold afternoon classes beginning March 7, 2017

Penn State Extension is offering its research based interactive, informative, and low-cost series of classes on diabetes, beginning March 7, 2017. “Dining with Diabetes: A Program for Adults with Diabetes and their Families,” is designed to teach those with pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes how to manage their condition. The set of 5 classes are offered in a social and interactive setting. The total cost for the 5 classes is $50 for an individual or $65 if bringing a family member or support person. The fee includes all educational materials, lab tests and food tastings. Scholarships are available, based on financial need. The course is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE).
