The Strengthening Families Program: for Parents and Youth 10-14

It is a FREE seven week two-hour program which uses videos, role playing, games, discussions, and family projects to:
• improve parenting skills
• build life skills in youth
• strengthen family bonds
The program has been proven to reduce adolescent substance used and problematic behaviors while enhancing family bonds through positive communication and problem solving. It includes a free meal for the entire family and child care for younger family members.
Wednesdays starting September 26, 2012 at the North Pocono Intermediate School from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Sundays starting September 30, 2012 at Carbondale Elementary School from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Thursdays starting October 4, 2012 at Carbondale Elementary School from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Thursdays starting October 4, 2012 at West Scranton Intermediate School from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
