Interpreting Water Test Reports Extension Workshop
Extension Water Specialists, Bryan Swistock, from Penn State University and local Penn State Extension Educator, Jim Clark, will present a workshop on interpreting pre-gas drilling water test reports in McKean County on Wednesday July 11, 2012, at the Veterans Memorial Hall on Route 155 just South of Port Allegany. The same workshop will be repeated the next day, on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Gunzberger Building on Main Street in Coudersport, PA. Both workshops are free and will run from 5 to 7PM in the evening.
The workshops are sponsored by a Colcum Foundation Grant and are being administered by the Headwaters RC&D organization. The Colcum Grant provided pre-gas drilling water tests for private water system owners in eight North Central Counties. One hundred water tests were completed on private water wells and springs in each of eight counties including McKean and Potter Counties. Penn State Extension has provided educational workshops for all the private water system owners, with McKean and Potter being the last in the series of eight workshops. The workshops are free and open to the public and are geared to the water system owners who participated in the pre-gas well drilling testing project.
Penn State is committed to affirmative action, equal opportunity, and the diversity of its workforce.
