On April 18, 2002 public school code was amended to address integrated pest management program implementation in schools and pesticide notification. See the PA IPM News Release IPM in Schools Now Law for a summary of the new legislation. Links to the two bills are listed below.
Signed by the governor April 18, 2002. Requires all PA schools to adopt IPM programs by January 1, 2003.
Pennsylvania's Act 36 of 2002 amended the Public School code of 1949 by adding to section 772.1, Notification of Pesticide Treatments at Schools. This act provides the pesticide certified applicators and the school with specific responsibilities.
