Small Fruit Production EQIP Programs
An ecological approach to managing pests in agricultural crops is known as Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM involves compiling detailed and timely information about a crop and its pests to ensure that pest management decisions are economically, environmentally, and socially sound.
Grape berry moth (GBM) is a key pest of grape in eastern North America, and can cause severe losses in both wine and juice vineyards. The elimination or additional re-entry restrictions on many organophosphate insecticides in grapes by the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) has led to the adoption of relatively cheap but equally broadspectrum pyrethroid insecticides.
