IPM is a proven and cost-effective pest management strategy that:
o Eliminates nesting places and pest-accessible sources of food and water
o Excludes cockroaches, rodents, bed bugs, and other pests from the property
o Uses the lowest risk pesticides in the safest manner—and only when necessary
o Engages maintenance staff, pest professionals, and tenants in a team approach
This training will equip you with an understanding of pest habitat, IPM, and the key roles for maintenance staff, pest management contractors, and tenants. The training is sponsored by the National Center for Healthy Housing and supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Children’s Health Protection.
