EPA's Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Schools — Basics for Winter Webinar

This webinar will focus on the seasonal opportunities to control indoor pests in schools. Wintertime means more time indoors, which means more exposure to allergens and asthmagens, especially from indoor pests. Winterization allows increased opportunities to prevent and exclude pests. We will examine the effects of pests on both indoor air quality (IAQ) and human health, especially asthma. Interventions to control pests will be presented: what is effective and what is not! The reduction in the use of chemicals and the use of Environmentally Preferable Chemicals will be examined. Successful reductions in allergens and asthma incidents will be highlighted.
