Healthier Meals on the Run

This Creating Health program addresses reasons why many adult and family diets are not meeting nutritional recommendations and provides tips on how to improve them.

Program Description:
Healthier Meals on the Run program materials address several main reasons why adults and families' diets are not always meeting nutrition recommendations and offers several activities and ideas participants can improve them. Program time: 45 minutes-1.5 hours.

Program Objectives:

  1. Identify and plan to use one or more cooking tips to save time for healthier eating.
  2. Plan a menu using Food Guide Pyramid recommendations.
  3. Identify and plan to use two or more grocery shopping tips to save time and money.

Program Audience:
The appropriate audience would be single or married adults and parents.
