Experience and Credentials
Experience in providing exercise instruction. This experience may be in fitness center, community setting, outpatient hospital setting or as a personal trainer.
Educational background in exercise or some aspect of public health. The appropriate educational background might include medicine, nursing, nutrition, family and consumer science, exercise physiology, occupational/physical therapy, massage therapy or community/public health. This educational background will be invaluable when explaining the importance of exercise and strength training in particular to program participants.
Certification by a reputable health and fitness organization.
Hands on experience with exercise, nutrition or working with older individuals are an excellent foundation for teaching the program.

Descriptions:
StrongWomen
Site Leader Trainings teach the basics for implementing the StrongWomen
program. Participants need to be actively strength training and have a firm
commitment to lead a StrongWomen program in their community.
StrongWomen Booster Pack and Update Trainings. You need to be a site leader leading the StrongWomen program for one year before attending Booster Pack training.
