StrongWomen/Growing Stronger: Booster Pack Training supplements exercises from the original StrongWomen program toolkit. Varying the exercises in strength training is important for many reasons; new exercises keeps muscles challenged and will help participants continue to improve their level of strength. Participants will find the routines more challenging and enjoyable if they are slightly different, which will motivate them to stay engaged in the program. Site leaders can substitute Booster Pack exercises for some of the exercises in the original toolkit. The Booster Pack contains exercises for all of the muscle groups at varying degrees of difficulty. Site leaders can use intermediate or advanced exercises to challenge the participants to improve upper and lower body strength, balance and flexibility.
Professionals in the fields of public health, allied health and/or community leaders who have a strong commitment to starting a StrongWomen strength training program should plan to attend this Site Leader Training.
