Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens
The Penn State Extension Master Gardeners feature several educational Demonstration Gardens in Franklin County.
The Herb Garden, Perennial Garden, Pollinator Friendly Garden, Drought-Tolerant, Victory Garden and the Woodland Meadow Native Habitat Garden are located on the Extension Horticulture Center property. Our newest garden is the Historical Gass Garden located near the entrance of the Extension office. This garden features historic plants found during the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Another historical garden, the civil-war era Historic Kitchen Garden is located behind the John Brown House on King Street in Chambersburg.
