An in-depth business planning course for current (and potential) non-commodity producers.
This 5 day or 8 evening class (24 - 30 hours of instruction) covers business structure selection, goal setting, effective marketing, functional financial documents development, and drafting of a written business plan for an existing or proposed venture. This class stresses risk mitigation through the selection of specific tools and strategies, including (but not limited to) securing appropriate liability and crop insurance products. Participants produce a draft written business plan, to be used both for daily management decision making and as a funding proposal.
