Food for Profit
A one-day (6 hour) class for current agricultural producers considering adding value to farm commodities, as well as (non-farmer) local food entrepreneurs.
Addresses food business start-up (feasibility, marketability, and profitability) as well as regulations that must be followed. Farmers who attend Food for Profit will determine if adding value will benefit their current business (if such a venture fits their personalities, skills, and current assets) as well as identify the additional resources needed for start-up.
