ServSafe® Food Safety Training Course
Posted: September 21, 2011
Note – A current blue "PA Department of Agriculture Food Employee Certificate" meets this requirement until its expiration.
To receive and maintain national food safety certification, all individuals are required to pass a certification exam every five (5) years. The certified person must be accessible, in person or by phone, during the facilities' hours of operation.
Completing one of these courses prepares the participant for the proctored, multiple-choice exam. Individuals must pass the exam with a score of 75% or higher to receive a ServSafe® certificate, which meets the PDA requirement for food safety certification. This certification is valid for 5 years.
