Erie County 4-H Cookoff
Here’s how it works:
- Foods are judged in two age divisions with thirteen food categories (see below) in each division.
JUNIOR DIVISION: 4-H’ers under 13 years old as of January 1, 2012
SENIOR DIVISION: 4-H’ers 13 years old and older as of January 1, 2012.
4-H member must be present to display his/her own food entry. - Each 4-H’er may enter in up to three categories. Recipes entered in the 2011 Cookoff are not eligible for entry in this year’s Cookoff. Recipes cannot contain alcohol as an ingredient.
- Merit ribbons and Rosettes are awarded in each food category. There is also a Rosette winner and Popular Vote Winner in each division.
- Families and friends are welcome! For a $1 fee, all participants, parents and attendees will be able to sample the foods and vote for their favorites in each division.
TO ENTER:
- Complete the entry form below and return it to the extension office by Friday, February 24, 2012.
- When we receive your entry form, we will mail you the Cookoff rules and further instructions.
SCHEDULE:
8:30 - 9:00 a.m. - REGISTRATION & SET UP
9:15 a.m. - JUDGING & PROGRAM for participants and families
11:15 a.m. - TASTING & VOTING
Noon - AWARDS PRESENTATION
