Northeast Wood Bioenergy Program
Welcome to the Northeast Wood Bioenergy Website!
The goal of the Northeast Wood Biomass Energy Program is to provide educational outreach materials on forest bioenergy opportunities in the Northeast United States. The northeast region is unique in its vast resources of mixed hardwood timber that provide a remarkable opportunity for renewable, sustainable bioenergy that can not only provide jobs but also improve forest quality in the long run.
The program consists of a library of materials on different forest bioenergy topics, as well as regularly scheduled webinars and workshops throughout the northeast. Click on the links to the left to access fact sheets, event schedules, and other bioenergy resources.
The Northeast Wood Biomass Energy Program is an effort of Penn State Cooperative Extension, in coooperation with the Northeast Sun Grant Initiative.
