Welcome to e-data, Penn State Extension’s online information and communication system. e-data supports Extension staff, volunteers, and 4-H members in their Extension activities and maintains a historical record of their many accomplishments.

Special Notice for Parents and Guardians of 4-H Members
e-data replaces the traditional paper enrollment forms we used for 4-H members for many years. The information requested on those forms, such as name, address, phone, birth date, gender, ethnicity, special needs, emergency contact, medical data, etc. is now being collected online through the e-data system. 4-H members and their parents/guardians are no longer required to complete and submit paper enrollment forms each year.
In addition to enrollment information, the e-data site allows 4-H members to select clubs and projects, register for 4-H activities, and complete forms such as those required for round-ups, shows, fairs, and other Extension activities. 4-H members can also upload photographs, read newsletters, maintain records of their participation, etc.
The information entered into e-data by you and your child will be available to Extension staff members and designated volunteers. It will not be shared with third parties. Extension will collect only information which is necessary for participation in 4-H or other Extension activities. Information will be maintained in accordance with Penn State privacy policies.
As parent or guardian, you may at any time revoke your consent for your child to enter information into the e-data system and request that Extension terminate your child's participation in the 4-H Program. To revoke your consent and terminate your child's participation, please provide a written, signed notice to your local Extension office.
As the parent or guardian of a 4-H member, we need to obtain your permission for your child to use e-data and participate in 4-H on an annual basis. When you receive a Parental Notice and Permission form, please complete, sign, and return it to the address shown on the form. If you do not receive a Parental Notice and Permission form each year, please contact your local Extension office.
