Walt is Senior Extension Associate with Penn State Cooperative Extension in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education. He is responsible for statewide educational programs in the area of Community and Economic Decision-Making. His areas of interest include community and economic development, organizational development, community and organizational strategic planning, leadership, grant-writing, and facilitation. He also serves as Fellow to the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania and as a board member of a number of state and local organizations. He holds an M.S. in Rural Sociology and Demography and a B.S. in Agricultural Economics both from Penn State. He lives with his family on a small farm in southern Centre County
