Tara Homan

Tara has been with the RULE Program since November of 2003. A graduate of South Hills Business School, Tara has a degree in Business Administration, Management, and Marketing. Tara is responsible for coordinating the facility arrangements for all RULE activities and study institutes, as well as prospecting locations for future institutes. Tara oversees the budget for these events and processes all travel expenses. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Tara is the first point of contact for any presentation requests. She designs the visuals for all presentations and assists on-site with their delivery. Tara also acts as the officer manager; she maintains the RULE website, orders supplies as required, orders RULE Store inventory, provides information to visitors, keeps the RULE alumni apprised of RULE happenings and maintains the office calendar.
Tara graduated from the 9 month Leadership Centre County Program and is involved in Meeting Planners International, MPI. Tara is a member of the Social Affairs Committee within the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology and is also the Department’s representative on the Advisory Council to the Dean. Tara received a legislative citation in 2007 for her work with RULE. In 2007, she coordinated the materials and logistics for the RULE External Review. She was nominated for the 2008 Staff Support award within PSU. Tara organizes a half day leadership session, twice a year, for Conservation Youth Leadership Camp that is held through the College of Ag Forestry. She is a guest lecturer on RULE, most recently presenting to the Lock Haven Kiwanis organization.
