His proficiencies include: goal setting and landscape business, farm accounting, data collection and record keeping. John also engages with producers and stakeholders on the topics of needs assessments, financial analysis, skill building activities, triple-bottom-line analysis and forecasting. Online program development is also one of John's areas of expertise.

John's heritage is rooted in agriculture and farming based. He grew up on a 100 acre farm in Columbia County PA. His Dad farmed. The family grew cash crops and raised champion sired Golden Retrievers puppies. In his formative years, John worked on local vegetable farms, dairy farms, and he made tons of hay in summers. He even worked hard on a Christmas Tree Nursery while in college. Later, he pursued Landscape Design and Sales positions and moved to South Eastern PA. For over 18 years he worked in the fields of Landscape Design/Build, Operations Management and later in Postsecondary Education Facilities Management.

His extensive industry experience along with his lifelong commitment to his education, and the education of others, gives John the ability to relate to a diverse array of people and industries. For fun, John enjoys weather, playing guitar, and his beautiful wife and family.
