Responsibilities:
Catherine Lara is working with three areas of the Agricultural Innovations Initiative. This work includes assisting with a collaborative extension and applied research program on innovations for specialty crops. She also works with specialty crop demonstration trials on increasing production efficiency, socioeconomic sustainability, on-farm energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. Lastly, she is involved with a program to bring in a new generation of horticulturists and focus on leadership development with the Young Growers Alliance.
