May 12 Herbs and Plant a Beverage Garden
Herbs are some of the oldest plants grown for their versatile uses. Learn their preferred growing conditions and new ways to incorporate them into your garden. Each participant will plant a beverage garden to take home for their summer drinks.

June 9 Make a Garden Trough
Make and take an attractive rustic, light weight garden container that can be planted up the next day with interesting Alpine plants or seasonal plantings. All materials will be provided for construction of the planter. Wear old clothes, bring rubber gloves and a face mask.

July 14 Basket Weaving
Make your own medium size basket for gathering flowers, veggies, or herbs. This is a low sided flat reed basket with a handle. Approximate size is 10"x 12"x 14" (with handle). Basket may take longer than 2 hours to complete, bring a sandwich if you want. Bring clippers, a bucket and a towel. All basket materials will be provided.

August 11 Weeds
Controlling weeds is the challenge of every gardener. This session will cover the basics of weed management, identifying some of the common weeds found in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and outline how to best control them.
