Meet Our New Field and Forage Crops Educator, Liz Bosak

In August, Liz Bosak started as the new Field and Forage Crops Educator for Dauphin and Perry Counties.

She is from Chester County Pennsylvania, where she attended the Downingtown area public schools before leaving the state to study plant science and organic chemistry at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts.

In addition to attending classes, she worked on the college’s Vegetable Community Supported Agriculture Farm. In 2011, she received a PhD from the Department of Entomology at Penn State. For the past four years, in Wisconsin, she conducted on-farm research projects with cranberry growers and then, with corn and soybean farmers addressing weed management, herbicide resistance management, and cover crops.
