Pollinator insects are declining, but there's hope! Learn how you can be part of the solution.
Penn State Extension Master Gardener, Dauphin County, Shawna Raymond, will show you the simple steps you can take to easily certify your yard as a Pollinator Friendly Garden. This presentation will show examples of plants you can add to your garden to attract pollinators. You will also receive handouts and information about how to get a certificate for your garden to be officially Pollinator Friendly. You will learn what to do (and what not to do) to help pollinators thrive in your area. This program is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is by Thursday, September 20, 2012. The program will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, 9:00 a.m., at the Dauphin County Agriculture & Natural Resources Center, 1451 Peters Mountain Road, Dauphin, PA 17018.
