Plant Fest & Sale
This annual gardeners’ bonanza, first held in 2005, is scheduled for the third Saturday in May and offers a plant sale which includes herbs and vegetables, native perennials, and treasures from the gardens of Penn State Master Gardeners. Look here for the unusual and one-of-a-kind at reasonable prices.
Educational displays and information, a plant clinic, a book sale, and a gardener’s yard sale round out the event, which serves as one of the main fundraisers for the Master Gardener program in Cumberland County to fund its educational outreach programs and activities.
Save the date for great plants on Saturday, May 19! Free native plant with plant purchases over $75! Join Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Cumberland County for their eighth annual Plant Fest on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The plant sale runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., rain or shine, on the grounds of Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center, 1000 Claremont Road, Carlisle. Look for the big tents at the corner of Claremont Road and Army Heritage Drive.
