Attention Agricultural Producers!
Posted: January 14, 2013
This seminar is unique in the fact that it offers two concurrent breakout sessions throughout the day, allowing producers to choose which topics they would like to learn about at any given time. Topics that will be covered include, but are not limited to: world ag and risk management, getting the most out of our manure, improving soybean yields, an overview of 2012 pests, seed technology, making sense of nitrogen credits, forage weed management, grain crop management and pesticide education. Crop producers, nutrient management planners, manure haulers/brokers and certified crop advisers will be able to earn a variety of continuing education credits throughout the day. There will also be two core and two category credits available for pesticide education. The Penn State Extension Specialists presenting throughout the day include: John Berry, Dr. Doug Beegle, Dr. Greg Roth, Dr. John Tooker and Dr. Bill Curran. In addition to hearing from Extension Specialists, you will also have the opportunity to hear the most up-to-date information from our sponsors. During registration, lunch, and the breaks in-between sessions, you will have the opportunity to visit with the numerous local agricultural companies that have set up displays in order to provide you with current information.
