Pesticide Update Meeting
Pesticide update meetings will be held at the Cumberland County Extension Office on Monday, March 26, 2012. The meetings will include a talk on Insect Pests in Corn and Soybeans and a talk on
New Herbicide Products for 2012.

The insect pest talk will cover grasshoppers, spider mites, bean leaf beetles and the brown marmorated stick bug. In addition, there will be a discussion of the emerging
picture of corn rootworm resistance to the Yieldgard (CRY3Bb1) gene in mid-west states, and practices to avoid any resistance showing up on Pennsylvania farms.
Each meeting will provide 2 core and 2 category 01 update credits for the Pennsylvania Restricted Use Pesticide License. One meeting will be held from 1-3 PM and the content of that meeting will be repeated at another meeting from 7-9 PM.
