Lesson 3: Nutrition
Balancing a ration to meet an animal's requirements can sometimes become a time consuming task. However, the time may be well spent if it produces healthy fast growing animals.
Feeding the sheep flock is as important as any other aspect of sheep production. Keeping the sheep in good condition, but not overly fat, will influence the overall health of the flock as well as the health and thriftiness of lambs.
One of the most exciting areas of sheep production today is that of producing market lambs. It’s exciting because we now have the technology to come very close to pork and chicken in the efficiency of production.
