Food Safety Training for Producers

This course is designed to assist growers who are writing a USDA Harmonized GAP food safety plan.

A demonstration of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) is necessary to pass a USDA GAP audit.

The farmers' market food safety workshop is a half-day training session which will provide farmers' market vendors with a basic knowledge of retail food safety, sanitation, and regulatory topics suited for vendors selling food products at farmers’ markets.

This course is for fruit and vegetable growers, and other persons, interested in learning about product safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety.
