Land Use and Local Decision Making

These webinars aim to benefit land owners, farmers, elected and appointed officials, developers, and community members who are involved in decision-making processes regarding using or preserving natural resources.

Youth are engaged in hands-on land-use planning. A small-scale village teaches participants about community layout, agricultural preservation and smart-growth concepts.

These regional workshops cover the availability and interrelationship of planning and policy tools.

Based on the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute's (PMPEI) curriculum, the course covers community planning, subdivision, land development, zoning, and zoning administration.
