Anita is a life-long resident of Clarion County, and a 1983 graduate of DuBois Business College. Anita obtained employment with the Clarion Area Greater Chamber of Commerce from March 1983 – March 1985. Anita played a major role in the coordination of the Autumn Leaf Festival during her role as administrative Assistant at the Clarion Chamber.
After leaving the Chamber, she chaired the ALF Kiddies Parade for several years. Anita also worked at a local jewelry store completing payroll, figuring and paying the appropriate taxes, typing jewelry appraisals, and completing other accounting related jobs as necessary.
Anita has been employed at Clarion University of Pennsylvania since 1985 as a secretary. Since 1988, Anita has served in different capacities in her local union #2326 the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees (AFSCME). She currently has been serving as the President for the past five years.
Anita is actively involved with Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, Pennsylvania. She is the clarion County Chair for the Republican Party and chaired the successful campaign for the election of fellow RULE XI Class alumna Donner Oberlander into the PA General Assembly.
Anita lives in Shippenville, PA with her husband, Leonard and assorted felines. She is a servant leader to many CUP students. Their home is a haven to many for gatherings and camaraderie. Anita excels as a coalition builder.
