Welcome to the Youth Leadership Development Web site. We hope that within these pages you find things that will help you plan a program, energize a team, discover something new, get excited about leadership, or all of the above.
The "Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow" leadership curriculum was developed to help individuals develop and strengthen their personal leadership skills so they can play active and constructive leadership roles in their community. It focuses on developing and strengthening personal and interpersonal leadership skills, group and organizational leadership skills, and community leadership skills.
The Penn State University Master Gardener program was established to assist booth Cooperative Extension in reaching the consumer horticulture audience. The program provides interested individuals with extensive training in many phases of gardening. In return, participants dedicate volunteer time to teaching horticultural information based on university research and recommendations.
The program encourages and supports leadership development for all segments of Pennsylvania.
Do you have time and energy to spare and are interested in Penn State's Extension mission? If so, we invite you to become a volunteer in any of the dozens of community outreach programs currently benefiting the citizens of Pennsylvania.
