Master Gardener Program
Centre County is located in the heart of central Pennsylvania, the home of Penn State University. Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Centre County are trained volunteers who develop expertise in consumer horticulture and environmental stewardship by participation in educational programs conducted by Penn State University faculty and Extension staff.
Master Gardeners serve the community in a wide variety of ways related to gardening by providing information and programs throughout the county. Some ways we help Penn State Extension better serve the home gardening public are by answering questions, speaking to groups, working with 4-H horticultural projects, participating in civic beautification, maintaining demonstration gardens, teaching plant sciences and horticulture, and maintaining this web site. We invite you to learn more about our many projects and activities by clicking on the links of the navigation bar to the left.
