The field production manager at the Josie Porter Farm will be responsible for day to day operations associated with the field production of vegetables & herbs, growing and producing for our established 200 + member CSA and Buying Club. The farm consists of 48 acres total (5 acres under cultivation, 24 acres pastures, 19 acres forested, wetlands, and creek) and is in its 8th year of operation.
This position performs a variety of duties in support of the Lehigh County Agricultural Conservation Easement Program and reports directly to the County's Director of Farmland Preservation.
Annual Manager/Grower is responsible for managing all aspects of annual production. This position is also responsible for increasing sales and profitability for the annual department. This position has a heavy focus on attention to detail, organization and documentation of crop and pesticide management.
Sales and Marketing Manager need to plan and implement direct sales and marketing activities, targeted towards prospective customers and existing customers so as to maintain and develop sales of Fulper Family Farmstead dairy products, summer camp, farm tours, birthday parties, and on-farm events, in accordance with business plans by performing the following duties personally or through hired employees.
Broad Wing Farm rents an historic farm in Southern Berks county and though our produce and herbs occupy just 3.5 acres, the farm is 80 acres in total. Our farm sells at farmers markets in Chester County, Philadelphia and Morgantown and has a CSA program with on-farm pick-up and very devoted members.
We are looking for an individual to join our farm crew who has a keen interest in organic/ biodynamic vegetable production and a willingness to work with and around draft horses and livestock. Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of one full season working on a production vegetable farm or comparable experience, an interest in learning, and a physical aptitude.

The Seasonal Farmer is a full time position starting in April and ending the Mid November. Seasonal farmer will work Monday through Friday with some weekend work including Saturday markets on a rotation and weekend water duties.
The Rodale Institute is now accepting applications for Internship Positions in the Agriculture Supported Communities (ASC) Program for the 2015 growing season. The ASC Program is a modified farm share program based on 5 acres and offering affordable payment plans to make fresh, local, organic produce accessible to 180 families the community.
